New Alexandria is a small tightknit community of town homes and single family homes located just south of Old Town and the Belle Haven County Club between the G.W. Parkway and Ft. Hunt Road. The neighborhood offers a variety of single family home styles from colonials, bungalows, ramblers and cape cods. Many of the homes were built in the first half of the 1900s but in recent years there has also been renewed interest in new construction in the neighborhood. The town home community of Old Belle Haven Town is located on the north side of the New Alexandria neighborhood.
Belle View is located just south of New Alexandria and offers primarily condominium living at Belle View Condominiums and River Towers. Both New Alexandria and Belle View are supremely located just blocks away from the Mt. Vernon bike path that runs alongside the Potomac River from Mt. Vernon to Old Town and beyond.
